Drycha's back!

That's right, Drycha's come home - just for this month, but hey, it's going to be fun!  I just couldn't do the Halloween kit this year and not ask her to guest design, and lucky us, she said yes! And what better day to announce than ON Halloween!!!

I'm Karolina Stopyra aka Drycha and I live in Warsaw, the capitol of Poland. I’ve always created – drawing, painting, taking photos, etc. In spring 2008 I found scrapbooking and started to create albums and cards. With time I jumped more and more into mixedmedia and I just LOVE it!. I love to learn new techniques, experiment with new medias and bring all together. I love to draw, and create a lot of things such as layouts, cards, altered art, jewelry, art dolls and other things.
I’ve been featured in scrapbook and crafting magazines, I'm owner and designer of polish craft brand 3rd Eye, by now we have rubber unmounted stamps, chipboards, shadowboxes, mounting blocks, stickers and adhesive flair buttons in our offer. All designs are created by me in 100%.
Lately I'm enjoying drawing and making tutorials.

We can't wait to see what she does with this month's SOD "Bon Appétit!" kit!  We'll be sharing her work with it throughout the month, so stay tuned here and on our Facebook page so you don't miss a thing!

Happy Halloween, everyone!

Karen's Spooky Halloween layout

Good morning everyone!

I hope you are all having an awesome day!  Tomorrow is Halloween!!!!!!!!!!

I love Halloween - always have - I love to dress up the kids, hand out candy and watch scary movies!

Although the kids dressing up is about done - this will be Ty's last year and Cody is done, but we will watch horror movies and hand out Candy!

Today I am sharing an eerily beautiful layout from Karen using the new Halloween kit
'Bon Appetit'

She altered her image with a little blood drippings and the Scraps Of Darkness title.  She also did some layering and used some gold embossing paste here and there.  She misted the craft flowers from the kit and the chipboard gates with mist.

More shabby chic projects from Renea!

Hi everyone!

Today I am sharing more of Renea's gorgeous creations using
the Scraps Of Elegance 'Pretty Things' kit

She started with the book cover and layered on some of the gorgeous lace from the kit, coated it with some fabric Stiffy so that when it hangs the lace doesn't lay down then added layers of the kit paper, and started adding the details.

To add texture to the paper, she distressed the edges then inked them and painted the pages, after it dried, she misted the the paste to bring out the crackle.

On the back side, she formed a pocket and then created pieces from the kit papers and Die Cuts that can be used as book marks or journaling tags.

Next up is a beautiful layout!

She took layers of the kit paper, and on the second layer, I did some tearing, punching, and sewing.

Some heavy distressing and inking  and some misting

Then she layered in more layers of distressed kit papers, along with some torn book pages.

She fussy cut out the pink border from some of the papers.

and some more of the details.....

'Transition' projects by Laura!

Hey everyone!

Today is my turn to share my creations with you!

I love the versatility of this kit...check out my creations....

My first layout I did is of our boys when they were small....

It does not seem like it was that long ago that they were this little

the flowers from the floral add on are fabulous!  I just added a bit of gesso!
I also loved the chipboard leaf stems that I painted with the Jacquard Lumiere Paint in Metallic Olive Green from the color add on.
I sprayed some cheesecloth with mists from previous months for more texture!
I also fussy cut many butterflies from the beautiful prima paper!

More fussy cut butterflies and strings from the cheesecloth!

The title card was perfect for this layout!

My next layout I was inspired by this months mood board!

here is my 'fall' layout

Our boys were having a lot of fun that day!

The leaves I die cut I sprayed with mists and inked using stuff from previous kits!

I just adore this photo of Cody.....he seems so lost in thought, just sitting at the pond with his blankie

I wanted to make a more 'dramatic' layout to kind of match the mood of the photo

here are a few of the details

I prayed some of the flowers to make them 'red' to natch my color scheme

I painted the vine with the paint from the kit then added a bit of gesso to it and the flowers

I love how the red and the bright colors pop off the background page

A few years ago our boys raked all the leaves into a huge pile and had a great time....

You can tell by the look on his face as to how much fun he is having!

Here are a few of the details
